This parish was born on May 11th 1991 with the celebration of Holy Qurbana by The Very Rev. P. Samuel in the chapel of Zion Luther Church, Front Street, Philadelphia. This worshipping group gradually became a parish in the American Diocese and was incorporated in the State of Pennsylvania.
Rev Fr. M. Johnson, Rev. Fr. M.S. John and Rev. Fr. Babu Varghese served as vicars. The members were able to work together with their priest and started raising fund to purchase a church building while Rev. Fr. Dr. Samuel K. Mathew (MA, MDiv, STM,Ph.D) served as vicar during his first term. Gradually, we were blessed with a worshipping place of our own with the purchase of a property at 514 Deveraux Ave. on March 16th 2000. Leaderships of Fr. M.S. John and Fr. Babu Varghese contributed to the renovation and final consecration of the building on May 24th and 25th 2002.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Samuel K. Mathew (MA, MDiv, STM,Ph.D) continues as current vicar on second tenure. There are over 60 families with over 135 actively participating members.
